How I Work

I seem to have a good eye for color combination’s and am pretty good at layouts in general. I was born, bred, raised and trained by other web design firms so when it comes to bearing in mind all the mitigating factors (i.e. what CMS constraints or shopping cart parameters to design for, matching the complexity of a design to someone`s coding abilities and so on) I pretty much have heard or seen it all.

Once I`ve assessed WHO is going to be coding it, what the design influences are, who the visitors are, what the key elements of the site are and other pertinent information – I usually just sit down and it falls into place.  I realize it isn’t a technical process per se…lol.

Nope, this is all just the artsy creative “feel-good” part of my creations. I can sit down sometimes and produce useless garbage all morning and walk away feeling frustrated and useless and sit back down later that afternoon and for no particular rhyme or reason – produce something totally ingenious, sleek and downright fitting for that client.

I have been doing this for a long time and am probably MORE passionate about my designs now than ever before so yes I take them really personally. Has to be interesting, clean, tidy, easy to look at, get the point across of what the site is trying to promote and yet still be unique.
